Milling of Aluminum Assembly Components

A client from the window shade industry came to The Rayflex Company to mill an aluminum assembly component. The component was made of 2024 aluminum and measured 5' long, 2.5" wide and 2" high. We started by milling the component, followed by drilling, boring and finally, honing. We were able to hold tightest tolerances of ±.0005" throughout the entire production process. It took 2-3 weeks to mill, conduct 100% dimensional inspection, and ship the customer's order of 12 aluminum window shade assembly components to its Connecticut location.
